DESCRIPTION

This is an important volunteer role on Digi60's Board of Directors, perfect for a passionate emerging creative and arts administrator who has experience working with Ottawa's independent film community.

This role is reserved for someone who identifies as having lived experience in one or more of Digi60's equity-deserving priority groups: BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+, Person with a Disability, Women+ and Francophone. The candidate should be bilingual to support the expanded bilingual programming of the festival.

As Digi60 continues to grow, this role will work with the Board to shape the Festival's programming as we transition from a working board of directors to a governance board by 2027.

What’s Involved

  • 2-year term on Digi60's Board of Director

  • Monthly Board meetings (2 hours max)

  • Engagement at the Digi60 AGM and Digi60's Strategic Planning meetings

  • Participation at Digi60's annual planning meeting

  • 10 volunteer hours at key Digi60 events throughout the year such as International Women's Day, Industry Socials or Mixers, in a leadership role (as Host, MC, or Facilitator)

  • Supporting Digi60's Annual Festival in December as an organizer, speaker, facilitator (3 days)
