The 2026 60-Day Challenge Is Officially Underway

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Club SAW on Sunday for the 2026 Digi60 60-Day Challenge Kick-Off!

This year, 99 filmmakers signed up for the 60-Day Challenge, and over 80 people joined us in person for an afternoon of conversation, connection and filmmaking as we officially launched the season.

We started the afternoon with a filmmaker panel featuring members of Ottawa’s filmmaking community, who shared their experiences, advice and perspectives on making independent work.

Then came the big reveal: the 2026 Catch is Re/Frame.

Our Screenwriter Live Pitch participants were among the first to put their own spin on the Catch, presenting short film ideas to the crowd and opening the door to new collaborations.

The rest of the afternoon gave filmmakers a chance to meet potential cast and crew, reconnect with the community and start thinking about what they might create over the next 60 days.

Registered filmmakers now have until Thursday, November 26 at 7:00 PM ET to complete and submit a film of up to 7 minutes inspired by Re/Frame.

Now it’s time to make some films.
