This past weekend, the Digi60 Filmmakers' Festival Board of Directors and volunteer team came together for our annual planning meeting.

Each year, this meeting gives us a chance to reflect on what we've learned, talk about what our community needs, and plan for the year ahead. It's an opportunity to step back from the day-to-day work and think about how we can continue supporting filmmakers at every stage of their creative journey.

We were fortunate to be joined by Dwaine Taylor of Newpact and Willemijn Bunskoek of Apt613, who shared their insights and helped us reframe our thinking as we explored new ideas and opportunities for Digi60 and the filmmakers we serve.

We're grateful to the City of Ottawa for supporting this final activity of our Capacity Building Grant. Their support has helped us strengthen the organization and create a stronger foundation for the work ahead.

We'd also like to thank our festival partner, the Digital Arts Resource Centre (DARC), for providing the space for our meeting and for their ongoing support of Ottawa's filmmaking community.

The conversations from this weekend will help shape the months ahead, and we're excited to share more as plans take shape.

For now, we're looking forward to another year of bringing filmmakers together to learn, create, and share their work.

Stay tuned.
