2026 KICK-OFF Screenwriter Pitch
Have a short film idea you want to pitch?
The Screenwriter Pitch gives aspiring screenwriters the opportunity to develop a short film idea from this year’s Catch and pitch it directly to filmmakers at the Digi60 60-Day Challenge Kick-Off.
Screenwriters will receive the Catch on September 20, one week before the Kick-Off. You’ll have one week to develop your idea and prepare a pitch of up to 2 minutes.
The pitch takes place live and in person on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Club SAW, 67 Nicholas Street, Ottawa. The Kick-Off event begins at 12:00 PM.
This is a chance to get pitch practice, build confidence, and connect with filmmakers who may be interested in your idea.
Important Information
You must deliver your own pitch in person. No proxy pitches.
You must be registered for the Screenwriter Pitch in advance to participate.
You cannot be a registered filmmaker in the 2026 60-Day Challenge.
You must agree to keep the Catch confidential until it is released to filmmakers at the Kick-Off.
Your pitch must be based on the Catch and the criteria provided with it.
