Saiful Wadud Helal - Munea’s Story (13:18)

Munea identifies herself as a queer femme person of colour. She dabbles with her identity in her work and participates in various types of social activism in her local community. This is a story that her father captures through all four seasons, winter, autumn, spring and summer, in an attempt to understand her.

Veronique Eshaya - Fédora (11:06)

A woman discovers a letter her late great grand-mother Fédora received from her first love. As she uncovers their story, she learns that the hardships of the time brought their relationship to a sad end. This personal story prompts a greater reflection on both the socio-political reality of 1930s Québec, Canada when Fédora first fell in love and on today.

Anika, a teacher who is entrenched in the Ottawa interactive art community, is using her creative spirit and heritage to create art which helps others overcome their anxieties about the ongoing global pandemic.
